Facial fat grafting allows for the correction of volume loss as well as the filling of deep wrinkles and grooves that develop over time. The patient’s own fat is injected to rejuvenate the face or sculpt facial features.

This lipofilling technique is a good alternative to synthetic, resorbable injectable products.

Pre-operative Instructions
  • Discontinue contraceptive pills or hormonal implants at least one month before the procedure.

  • Avoid any medication containing aspirin for ten days prior to surgery.

  • Cessation of smoking is strongly recommended.

Before the procedure, an initial consultation is conducted with your surgeon.
The surgeon harvests a small amount of fat through a minor liposuction, usually from the inner knees, an area where small fat deposits are often present even in slim individuals.

The fat is then centrifuged and, using a very fine needle, it is injected to fill wrinkles, restore volume, or sculpt facial contours.

After the procedure, some bruising may occur, which can be concealed with makeup, along with mild swelling that typically resolves within one week.

The facial fat grafting procedure is performed under general anesthesia and lasts between 1 and 2 hours.

Resumption of activities is immediate.

There is no risk of allergy or rejection since the fat used comes from the patient’s own body. The effect is permanent, unlike resorbable injectable products.
