VASER Liposuction is aimed at patients who struggle to eliminate persistent fat bulges that are not or only slightly affected by physical exercise and dietary restrictions. If this is your case, VASER liposuction can help refine your figure while benefiting from the advantages of a minimally invasive procedure.

VASER liposuction provides superior results while minimizing post-operative recovery. This liposuction technique uses ultrasound energy to treat areas of fat accumulation.

Pre-operative Instructions
  • Do not smoke one week before your surgery.
  • Do not consume alcohol one week before your surgery.
  • Stop taking aspirin or anti-inflammatory medications 15 days before your surgery.
  • Stop taking birth control pills 20 days before your surgery.
  • Infiltration: A tumescent solution is injected into the subcutaneous fat of the treatment area.
  • Ultrasound Emission: The Vaser device probe is used to emit ultrasound waves into the fatty tissues, which separates the fat cells and mixes them with the tumescent fluid.
  • Suction: Using a micro-cannula, the loosened fat is aspirated and removed from the body.
  • Skin Retraction: During the healing process, the skin in the treatment area tightens, providing a naturally appearing result.

VASER Liposuction is performed under general anesthesia, and the procedure lasts 2 hours.

It is possible to return to work after a few days of rest. Most patients can resume their usual activities, provided they do not involve physical exertion.

VASER liposuction causes fewer bruises, less swelling, and reduced post-operative pain. The discomfort experienced after the procedure is similar to that felt after an intense workout. A compression garment may be necessary to reduce post-operative swelling and provide more comfort. Most of the swelling resolves within a week, and this process of resorption continues over the next 4 to 6 weeks. Therefore, the results are observable quite quickly.
